Alan Doyle stars in heartwarming musical
Tell Tale Harbour is a raucous, heartwarming musical based off Ken Scott's The Grand Seduction, co-created by and starring Canadian music icon Alan Doyle! With Doyle's maritime charm the perfect vessel to play harbour-town dweller Frank (with his band Great Big Sea the singer and actor won awards for their interpretations of sea shanties from the coastal regions), the show makes its Toronto premiere following a critically acclaimed debut at Charlottetown's Confederation Centre of the Arts in 2022.
In the quiet coastal town of Tell Tale Harbour, the locals face a bleak future after their fish plant closes down, threatening the survival of their close-knit community. Hope arrives in the unlikely form of a frozen french fry factory, promising jobs and security. But there's a catch: the deal hinges on the town having a full-time doctor. With no real doctor in sight, the residents hatch a plan to convince a visiting physician to make Tell Tale Harbour his permanent home.
