The Last Waltz Tour

The Last Waltz Tour at Meridian Hall

Why see The Last Waltz Tour?

Life Is A Carnival - The Last Waltz Returns!

Held on Thanksgiving Day in November 1976 at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom, The Last Waltz was The Band's farewell show and went down in history as a cult classic concert thanks to its cinematic immortalization by Martin Scorsese and special guest performers including Eric Clapton, Dr. John, Joanie Mitchell, Muddy Waters, Neil Young, Van Morrison and Ringo Starr, amongst others.

The historic concert comes to life once more this year with a strictly limited run of dates featuring Ryan Bingham, Jamey Johnson, Lucas Nelson, Mike Cambell and Benmont Tench. Joining the them for commemorative renditions of songs like Up On 'Cripple Creek', 'The Weight' and 'Who Do You Love?' will be Dave Malone, John Medeski, Cyril Neville and Terrence Higgins.

Starratlarry rebuttal

First off, Starratlarry must be pretty dumb and out of touch to think Robbie Robertson was part of this tour. There was world class talent on that stage last night and they blew the roof off the place. The rhythm section, Don Was and Terrance Higgins amazing. Kathleen Edwards, Jamey Johnson, Cyril Neville all great, horns as well. Don't know what show he saw but starratlarry is way off. ... Read more

A rockin show

A great show, put on by a well-rounded set of players. Most of the venue was up on their feet dancing all night (Sorry for the folks who wanted to sit and watch the show). Warren Haynes and group did not disappoint, with Jamey Johnson and Kathleen Edwards belting out the tunes. Proctors was a beautiful venue to see a show, but I'm glad I didn't have to wait in the beer line. Parking was easy, even though the theatre seemed packed. Would see a show there again ... Read more
