Undoubtedly one of the coolest and most unique queens to sashay down RuPaul's legendary runway, Sasha Velour strikes out alone this year! Known worldwide for her unconventional style of combining elements of drag performance, theatrics, fine art, and storytelling, most Sasha Velour fans first learned about her when she won Season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2017 with her exceptional finale performance. Yet, her accomplishments go far beyond reality TV.

As the founder and host of the famous drag revue NightGowns in New York City, Sasha has dedicated years to promoting creative artists by giving them a stage on which to experiment and develop their craft. Sasha's NightGowns is considered by many to be one of the most influential and innovative events in drag history.

Her solo shows have further enhanced her reputation as an extraordinary talent in her field, and she has toured sold-out theatres around the world. Apart from performing, Sasha also works as an illustrator, producer, designer, and writer. She has published a book, The Big Reveal: An Illustrated Manifesto of Drag, which explores the history of drag performance and includes Sasha's life story.
