Over the course of 10 entertainment-packed days, the JFL42 Comedy Festival takes over Toronto and gives audiences the chance to see a star-studded roster of heavyweight headliners as well as 42 up-and-coming comedy acts from across the nation (hence the '42' in its moniker). Back for its fifth year running, the rib-tickling festivities have grown by 15 percent since 2015, with a grand total of over 73,000 attendees now flocking to the city's top venues for a whirlwind of wry observations, side-splitting sketches and hilarious stand-up routines.

Perhaps best known for his role as rollerskating gigolo Terry Bernadino in cult hit comedy series 'Reno 911!' as well as his collaborations with Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions, Nick Swardson has developed a reputation for a mesmerising blend of off-the-wall observations and an energetic physicality when it comes to his flourishing stand-up career.
