Roastmaster General Jeff Ross Joins The JFL42 Line-Up
Over the course of 10 entertainment-packed days, the JFL42 Comedy Festival takes over Toronto and gives audiences the chance to see a star-studded roster of heavyweight headliners as well as 42 up-and-coming comedy acts from across the nation (hence the '42' in its moniker). Back for its fifth year running, the rib-tickling festivities have grown by 15 percent since 2015, with a grand total of over 73,000 attendees flocking to the city's top venues for a whirlwind of wry observations, side-splitting sketches and hilarious stand-up routines.
The festival welcomes the wickedly sharp tongue and rapid fire wit of the "Roastmaster General" Jeff Ross to the stage. Born and raised in New Jersey, Ross cut his teeth at the open mic nights of New York City stand-up scene in the mid 90s, eventually making a name for himself as a master of roast comedy. A regular on Comedy Central's Roasts, the comedian blends an old school Jewish brand humour with a sense of fun and care for those he rips into.
