Why see National Ballet of Canada - Emma Bovary?
Dive deep into your mind at the ballet
The world premiere of Helen Pickett's new ballet, Emma Bovary, is coming to the National Ballet of Canada this fall. Touching down at the Four Seasons Centre in Toronto, Pickett worked together with theatre director James Bonus to create the piece, which explores the psyche of the main character from Gustave Flaubert's highly influential 19th-century novel, Madame Bovary. The work includes an exciting original score from award-winning composer Peter Salem and is a striking and sensitive exploration of the human condition, so don't miss out on Emma Bovary!
Also on the agenda for the evening is James Kudelka's Passion, which will be Piotr Stanczyk's (the company's current Principal Dancer) final performance.
