Mark Crawford's delightful comedy romp comes to Toronto
Canadian playwright Mark Crawford's tender comedy Bed and Breakfast comes to Toronto's Young Centre For The Performing Arts this Summer. The light-hearted yet poignant romp's hilarious hijinks and surprising plot twists explore coming out, homophobia and the concept of home, replete with a colorful host of characters brought to life by a cast of two.
The theatrical tour-de-force presents a year in the life of Toronto-dwelling couple Brett and Drew. When the real estate rat race proves to difficult to navigate, they leave the lights of the big city for the pastoral climes of a small town in Ontario with a dream of opening an bed and breakfast. Of course, their new home comes with its own set of obstacles, including winning over the quirky townsfolk whose views on homosexuality are dated to say the least.
