James Taylor with Jackson Browne

James Taylor with Jackson Browne at Scotiabank Arena

Why see James Taylor with Jackson Browne?

James Taylor's American Standard Tour

Riding the crest of the transition between the tumultuous end of the summer of love and the psychedelic, navel-gazing 70s, James Taylor is the name that comes to mind when thoughts turn to the concept of the quintessential songwriter. Five decades later, the five-time Grammy-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is still writing, releasing and touring - don't miss him when he hits the road with fellow folk-rock icon Jackson Browne this summer! The tour comes fresh off the back of Taylor's 19th studio album American Standard.

Taylor started his ascent into the stratosphere with his breakthrough single 'Fire and Rain' in 1970 and over the course of his career became one of the best selling music artists of all time thanks to his heartfelt songcraft,  genial, infectious charm, and wholesome lyrical themes about kith and kin. On tour, the wise-cracking muso is sure to enchant with his guitar and voice-led classics as well as regale his adoring crowds with anecdotes and stories from his time as one of America's greatest and best-selling living musicians

Jackson Browne & James Taylor

Loved it! Great mix of old and new. The crowd in Toronto was right into it, it was amazing! Our seats were 6th row from the floors-great view. Many encores. Who could ask for anything more?! I definitely recommend seeing these guys, if you don’t mind hearing some new tunes as well. WELL DONE BOYS!!! 🥰 ... Read more

Loved it!

I had only heard a few songs of Jackson Browne but thought he was a great performer and enjoyed his music. James Taylor played some new music which was nice but he should have focused more on his hit songs. Audience were dull and i too got shushed by someone in front of me for talking. Why come to a concert if you don't want anyone to talk or sing? Overall, I loved the concert and loved JT's interaction with the audience. I would see him again in a heartbeat. He is and always will be one of my favorite singers. ... Read more

Superb, but haters gotta hate

I think some people would go see James Taylor play at their intimate corner coffee shop and then complain that the coffee is bad. Look folks, don’t go to see 70-something rock/folk/blues artists and then complain that they don’t have the energy you want or the voice you expect. Even Tom Brady won’t be a peak performer at that age. This was one of the best concerts I’ve been to, period. The music was great, even the lesser known songs, the two performers were granted roughly equal (deserved) billing and the staging was incredible. ... Read more
