Featuring Newt Gingrich and Andrew Sullivan
Founded in 2008, the Munk debates gather together some of the finest (and sometimes controversial) minds to discuss the great issues of the day. Lasting over two hours, each debate features two panellists arguing for one side of the issue, and another two arguing against it.
For this October event, the topic for discussion is Donald Trump, and his danger, or lack thereof, to American democracy. Seen by some as exciting, bold leader who can tear down the elitist system in Washington, and others as as authoritarian hate-monger, there's no doubt Trump's presidency is a fascinating topic. In Trump's corner are Newt Gingrich and Kimberly Strassel, squaring off against E. J. Dionne and Andrew Sullivan.
