Surprisingly, US audiences fell in love with his thick Liverpool accent and this global reach catapulted EsDeeKid to the upper echelons of hip-hop. The UK underground rapper rose through the rap ranks in less than a year to become one of the most talked about artists in the world, landing a historically large record deal. The masked rapper has yet to reveal his identity, however, in 2025, many believed him to be award winning heartthrob actor Timothee Chalamet - this viral rumour led to a collaboration in late 2025, seeing Chalamet hop on his big hit '4 Raws'.
