Formed in Montreal in 2003, they quickly made their mark with their breakthrough debut album, Apologies to the Queen Mary. A 2006 nominee for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize, the record was met with widespread critical acclaim, earning glowing praise from The Guardian and Pitchfork, who later named it one of the defining albums of the 2000s.
