Lauded by BroadwayWorld, the Chicago Tribune and many others for its total originality, the musical returns to Toronto having premiered here in 2017, In a production directed by Annie Tippet and produced by Yonge Street Theatricals.
What's It About?
16-year-old Alice's father, Frank Carter, is a noted self-help guru. Despite his career imparting uplifting words of wisdom, it offers no reprieve from Alice's grief after he suddenly loses his life in a road accident on her birthday. What follows is a profound and moving yet also deeply funny exploration of the time around the time of Frank's death, via Alice's dynamic imagination and determination to discover the truth.
