Great Performance
I have been listening to his music (both Utopia & his solo work) since the 70's.
Over that time, I have only managed to see him 3 times, so I was really looking
forward to this show.
The playing as well as the vocal work was outstanding and I wish I could have sat
through the show twice. At almost 70 years of age, it's amazing Todd still has the
vocal chops.
The only downside to the show (at least for me was the sound). I was sitting in the
1st balcony almost dead center. Pretty much an ideal location from a mix stand
point.
The "front of house engineer" had a good balance of everything going.
The problem was that he was driving the system a lot louder than it needed to be.
That resulted in a lot of sonic detail completely getting lost in a massive assault of
mid range frequencies.
Anyway, this is not supposed to be a sound review.
Utopia 5 out of 5 for performance and basically nailing the material.
Sound, 3 out of 5.
