Led by the top Elvis impersonator in the world!
Steve Michaels is one of the world's most talented Elvis impersonators; in fact, he's so good, he has been continually playing The Man From Memphis in various shows for the past 20 or so years. Return to Grace sees Michaels in full-on leather-clad sex symbol mode in this sterling tribute show that serves a simple premise - it's all about the impersonation, not interpretation. Don't expect a drawn-out backstory to Elvis, this show is all about the splendor, the songs and the raw sex appeal that saw The King attain cultural icon status that still holds true today.
Two sides of Elvis, one giant icon
The show itself is a bombastic celebration of all things Elvis, taking some of his most legendary concerts and re-enacting them live; it's not s jukebox musical asuch, think of it as Elvis coming back to life for your enjoyment! Combine Michaels' eclectic performance with an excellent live band and a troupe of high kicking dancers, and you can relive those moments in glorious live Technicolor from Aloha! to Las Vegas. The first act is a leisurely affair, taking in some of the slower ballads, interspersed with news items of the Sixties that marked the Civil Rights era, whilst the second is a much more heady affair, taking on the gorgeous 1973 Hawaii concert, where Elvis ended up filming his movies!
