A Nostalgic Take On A Christmas Carol
It's time to don those festive sweaters and gather the family for the Lower Ossington Theatre's highly original take on the Yuletide classic A Christmas Carol. Thanks to the overwhelming success of their last radio play It's A Wonderful Life, the company is back with the nostalgic magic of a 'live' radio broadcast from the 1940s, so expect that warm vintage vinyl crackle and a family friendly production filled with holiday cheer.
Set on Christmas Eve in 1947, an ensemble class brings a touch of vintage glamour to the story as they bring to life a Christmas broadcast of Charles Dickens' beloved tale. Rich old miser Ebenezer Scrooge is obstinate and obdurate and refuses to join in with the annual festivities. When he is visited by three supernatural entities, he's given a much needed wake up call when they show him the error of his parsimonious ways.
