Artists across the board celebrate Neil Young
A powerhouse lineup of Canadian talent will gather for a one-night-only concert celebrating the music and legacy of one of the greatest of all time, Neil Young! Hosted by CBC's Tom Power, the event brings together artists from across the country to honour one of Canada's most influential songwriters on the occasion of his 80th birthday, tracing Young's remarkable career through fresh interpretations of his timeless catalogue.
Under the direction of musician and producer Aaron Goldstein, an 11-piece house band will back the performers, which include in no particular order: Kathleen Edwards, Charlotte Cornfield, Dallas Green (City and Colour), Jim Cuddy (Blue Rodeo), Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar), Luke Bentham (The Dirty Nil), Kathleen Edwards, Sarah Harmer, Joel Plaskett, Peter and Leah (July Talk), Serena Ryder, SATE, Matt Mays, Julian Taylor, The OBGMs, Donovan Woods, Ruby Waters, Skye Wallace and Tom and Thompson Wilson. With Massey Hall as the backdrop, there's no better way to honour a true Canadian icon.
