The Mellencamp show had to rank in the bottom 3 of all concerts I’ve seen (and I’ve seen a lot)! He talked more than he sang, told (bad) stories more than played music, and when he did play, he did mostly obscure songs and only a few of his hits. Worst than all he was rude to the crowd. Told the audience if we didn’t like it to “leave and get your money back.” Which would’ve been fine if he had the power to reimburse money, but he doesn’t. One women yelled, “Play something we know,” and he told her to “get the eff out!” He was condescending and self-righteous. Maybe someone should remind him that it was those hit songs and his fans that made him. Not his political views and boring tales.

I must say this was the worst concert ever and the dumb lady behind us yapped the whole time. Started out with old movies because Turner movies is sponsoring him I believe. Weird, negative and depressing vibe. YouTube does him justice. Sound was very poor. Also he talked too much he could have used 30 minutes of storytelling and bs to entertain his audience. Sad event! He actually should be ashamed!

Instead of entertaing his fans John chose to use the opportunity as a platform for storytelling, and political campaign. Don't waste your money and time on this.

WTF this is ridiculous - he played old movies until 8:30 pm for a start of 8:00 pm. This is AWFUL! We spent good money to see John Mellencamp perform. NOT. DO NOT GO TO THIS SBOW!!!

1.0 star rating Larry from Chicago, Illinois

I agree with the previous reviews. The movie at the beginning was terrible. The crowd was wanting him to play his hits. In the first seven songs he only played two hits. After the crowd was standing after small town, he proceeded to play three songs that no one knew. The crowd was enthusiastic and standing for each one of his major hits buddy only played like five or six. He has a lot of great songs, and this could have been a great concert, but it was one of the worst I’ve ever seen. His voice really sounded terrible. It was one of the worst concerts from age hardest I’ve ever seen.

Ditto what the others are saying. No opening act, started a half hour late, too much politic rhetoric, rude to his paying (A LOT) customers. You used to be such a great guy when you played in Bloomingon bars. Hey John you told us we'd get our money back? How excatly do with do that? I'll take my $500 back. Sorry to part old friend.

1.0 star rating Kim from Louisville, Kentucky

Show started with 30 minutes from 1940 - 1960's. Music was awful, Show started at 8:00 (Well he started singing at 8:30 and we left at 9:15.
