ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL AND OVERWHELMINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!
This show felt like an unbelievable dream!
I could have closed my eyes and they sounded exactly like they do
blaring through my speakers! As I swayed back and forth with the love
of my life watching the calmness of this band preform I can’t begin to
describe how warm and special the whole atmosphere was. It was
everything we expected and SO MUCH MORE!!!!!!
It was easy to see and feel how devoted they are to their fans and the
love they have for them. As they closed their set with a beloved fan
favorite “Apocalypse” the crowed cheered for an encore. The band
smiled sweetly and gave us one more spectacular song! This band
gave their all and they didn’t disappoint! They went above and beyond!
We would go see this band over and over again in a heartbeat!
THANK YOU, CIGARETTES AFTER SEX!!!!!!!!
WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

A SPECIAL EXPERIENCE
The energy building in the venue was amazing as the eclectic crowd anticipated the group's arrival. Unfortunately as the minutes ticked past the announced performance time the atmosphere shifted to a tense and irritated mood. The chatter became intense and suddenly as Cigarettes After Sex Appeared the crowd settled down and miracles occurred. It was a testament to the power of the love for this group. With each song the crowd became more entranced. It was beautiful to see and feel the intensity of the focus of everyone there. A remarkable performance in an amazing venue A very special night and I love the group more than ever. Would have been nice if the delay was acknowledged and an introduction of the members on stage I understand the format of smokey, illusive and sensual but audiences want just a bit of personal communication, especially when they love a performer so much. Thank you to a wonderful group of talented performers

PHENOMENAL MUSIC AND SHOW
My gf and I went as we are in our 40s and huge fans of CAS. His voice and the instrumentals were spot on! It was an amazing experience if you could block out all the immature half naked high schoolers which seemed to be 90% of the venue. I will absolutely see CAS again and just hope that it’s a more mature crowd.

CIGARETTES WAS GOOD....BUT THE "YOUNG" FANS RUINED IT
I was very excited to see them perform and they played most of their best. However, this was not the venue to see them. The fans were to young and they "drowned" out the vocals of the lead singer as they sung along. I felt like I was at some punk rock concert....Cigarettes performs much better with a laid back fan base appreciating the vocals of the group. The acoustics at MTELUS sucked also....overall, I still had a great time....but, next time I see them it will be with a more mature fan base....

SOUND WAS BRUTAL
My girlfriend and I were super excited to see them live but the their sound technician let them down tremendously. The bass was too loud and when the lead guitarist played there was this crazy sound reverberation that made it impossible to enjoy the music and the singing. The lyrics of the songs sounded garbled and if it wasn’t for the enthusiasm of all the young girls and women in the audience singing along one would have not understood what was being sung. I feel the volume was set too high for the size of the venue.

COULD HAVE BEEN A 4 STAR.
We had four people in our group my wife and I in are 50’s daughters in early 20’s. My younger Daughter introduced me to them. I can’t stand performers who don’t value the time and energy of their fan base. Come time to perform the place was filled. I guess the band didn’t get their “mellow” on early enough and was not ready to perform until almost 9:30. I hope they do read this and make changes in the future. Your fans pay good money to see your performances. Gonalez is not a power house singer its often difficult to understand his lyrics. As one person said in our group It sounded like he was humming most of the night. When I moved to the back of the concert hall I could hear better. Not sure if it was the fault of the sound engineer or the wonder ballroom. All in all, we did enjoy the night. Had the band started when they should have, and the acoustics been better I’d give them 4 stars. They are who they are and delivered a concert like their album. Chill

DISAPPOINTED!
I was really looking forward to seeing Cigarettes After Sex in concert. I've been a fan of their music for a while. Unfortunately, my experience was a bit disappointing.
The band started their set an hour late, and the singer, Greg Gonzalez, didn't seem to be very engaged with the audience. He stood mostly still in the dark. His face was barely visible behind the blindingly bright lights that shined on the audience. I had to hide behind the person in front of me to protect my eyes. Gonzalez’s voice was amazing, but his lack of engagement and promptness was a turnoff.
Also, there was no opening act, and the music they played before the band came on was the most boring music imaginable. I am not sure if the band or Greek Theatre is to blame for nearly putting me to sleep on my husband's shoulder before the show.
It would have been better if Greg had created a more intimate connection with the audience. He could have told stories about the songs or interacted with us more. Instead, he just stood there and sang, which made the show feel impersonal.
Unfortunately, I will not be attending any more Cigarettes After Sex concerts. I hope that the band takes my feedback into consideration for future shows. I think they have the potential to put on a great live performance, but they need to make some changes.
