SADLY DISAPPOINTED
I guess I am one of the few who wasn't impressed with Bat Out of Hell. The cast had incredible singing voices, the special effects were really good, and that was it. The story line was a bit familiar... very Peter Pan, and, sadly, a bit boring. If the play didn't provide that little newspaper on every seat, and the story out line projected on the stage before the play started, nobody would have known what was going on. I couldn't get into the characters, and I felt that some scenes were random just so that they could use a particular song, (Two Out Of Three Aint Bad). I feel that the story could have been more intriguing, and the characters more endearing. I have been going to plays for over 30 years, and most grab you from the beginning and take you along for the ride. Bat Out Of Hell just didn't do that for me. I wish it had. I wasn't wow'd. Disappointing. I don't recommend Bat Out Of Hell, unless you are a die hard Meatloaf fan. Pretend it's a concert. Singing was amazing.

Bat Out of Hell revs you harder than a Harley Davidson.
A high-octane thrill ride, this epic stage adaptation of the already fairly epic album(s) is utterly irresistible.
