Animal farm
Want to say upfront that I really like Soul and Pepper very much; however this performance was the worst. The sound was horrible. The adoption was boring. It was mostly like the actors simply reading from Orwell's novel, monologues were unbearable. If you are not annoyed by today's news, you would be interested to see what Orwell thought in 40s about one particular historic episode... A few people left at the first intermission, which I have never seen in this theatre before.
Animal Farm
We left during the intermission. Other than the names of the characters, the production had little to do with Orwell's novel "Animal Farm". Where Orwell's novel served as a caution against totalitarian regimes - on both extremes of the political spectrum - this production was just another boring polemic against capitalism, as well as a sad attempt to re-litigate the 2016 US presidential election. So, if you're a fan of the novel, there isn't much point in seeing this play. However, if you would like to listen to MSNBC presented by people in animal costumes, then this production will be right up your alley.
