A group of us saw Dreamgirls yesterday afternoon. What a talented cast. The audience was engaged and entertained throughout this fabulous show . We loved Kyle Brown's Jimmy Early and of course Krystle Chance brought passion to the central role of Effie. We've long enjoyed listening to Maddy Eddy's powerful voice and were delighted to see her singing and acting talents combined to create a memorable Deena Jones. Young Maddy was the perfect choice to play Deena, both talented young women at the beginning of successful careers. We loved the intimacy of the venue and felt like we were part of the production. The seats aren't very comfortable but the wine pourings were generous. After we wandered up Ossington and had drinks at a French bar then tapas at a Spanish- style restaurant. All in all a great afternoon and evening.

I had seen Dreamgirls on Broadway and seen the movie and this show was every bit as good as those. Everyone gave a strong performance and the audience was on its' feet at the end. The singing the dancing, the costumes, the lighting - all excellent. I would highly recommend this show for 2 hours of pure entertainment. So many talented performers, it's hard to highlight just one (although of course the Effie solo was outstanding). Had dinner at the Drake Hotel after the Sunday matinee which was also excellent. Highly recommend catching this show.
