Arguably the smoothest, hippest trumpet player around town, Chris Botti left school to cut his teeth with the Big Band greats Sinatra and Buddy Rich before touring for 10 years with Paul Simon. After rising to prominence as one of the best session musicians of his time, his solo work proved to be a crossover success, earning him 2013's Best Pop Instrumental Album Grammy.
The genre-bending virtuoso now joins forces with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra for a special one-off performance and collaboration, showcasing his spectacular chops, expressive intonation and imaginative phrasing. His ability to move fluidly between a number of different musical styles means there's never a dull moment when he takes to the stage.
