Long before Book of Mormon or South Park, Trey Parker got his taste for a tuner with 1993's Cannibal: The Musical. Originally his college project, Cannibal has entered the annuals of history as particularly fine cult classic. Based on the true story of the infamous Packer trip, the gruesome tale of a group of miners who tried to cross the Rockies in winter with practically no experience, Cannibal finally comes to the stage in this brand new production!
Accused of murdering all his friends on a disatrous trip across the Rocky Mountains, Alferd Packer tries to prove his innocence from his prison cell, insiting to reporter Polly Pry that he's no cannibal and relaying his version of events in a bid for freedom.
Cannibals aren't usually the first place to look for comedy, but Trey Parker's innate genius makes Alferd's journey not only hilarious, but relatable, with big show tunes and bigger jokes!
A must see for those who loved the Book of Mormon, South Park and fans of comedy musicals in general!
