Ziggy Stardust recreated live on stage, note for note
In 1972 David Bowie released The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, an album which would set the Brit on course for becoming one of the world's biggest rock stars. Aided by guitarist Mick Ronson, Bowie expanded upon the glam rock sound hinted at on previous album Hunky Dory, and married it with lyrics about extraterrestrials and world-ending catastrophes to create one of the decade's landmark records.
Now you can experience the magic all over again with Classic Albums Live, a collective of incredibly accomplished musicians who make it their mission to recreate great records from the 60s and 70s note for note. Hear Starman, Five Years, Rock 'n' Roll Suicide and Suffragette City played as if Bowie himself was up on stage.
