My wife and I had the pleasure of seeing and experiencing Phantom at the Majestic on Broadway on March 30th. The show was truly unforgettable and most rewarding. Unfortunately, the sales pitch, and advertisement that followed the standing ovation asking for donations supporting AIDS research with tempting posters, pins, and matching carry bags literally robbed us of the pleasure of leaving the theatre with the theatre experience of the production. I am truly saddened that the commercialism for causes has invaded Broadway in such a manner. My wife and I are supporters for many causes and appreciate the need for donations, but there must be a better way to get the money from viewers. We experienced the same "cause" when we saw Porgie and Bess, but the request for donations seemed to be less invasive. I will give donations to many causes, but on that day, we did not participate--I felt used and cheated, and disappointed.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE
We were in New York for 4 days and my 16 yr old daughter
and I were shopping our way thru the city. We came upon the
Majestic Theatre 10 mins before the show started. We bought
seats 5 rows from the stage and had the experience of a
lifetime together. I had seen 'Phantom' in Perth Australia
years back and was thrilled to see it with my girl. We were
blown away by the talent of the cast and that day will stay in
my memory as 'our New York experience!'
We are very grateful for the special price for our prime seats!

SALEH'S VISIT TO THE MAJESTIC THEATRE
I enjoyed this musical. The costumes are lavish and
beautiful. The theatre has great atmosphere, but
best of all, the music is memorable and moving. I
especially loved the title theme. The boat ride was
enchanting.

PHANTOM DISAPPOINTMENT AT THE MAJESTIC
performance was MONDAY, 2/5 AT 8:00
This was our 3rd time seeing TPOTO but 1st in NYC.
Very disappointed in the actors who played the phantom and
Christine"s boyfriend.
The phantom sang off key....often at the beginning of a song it was
very difficult to hear him. He didn't caress Christine during the
seductive scenes. Rouelle was simply clumsy on stage and was not
convincing at all. He often appeared confused, not knowing quite
how to position himself on the stage. There was no natural
chemistry between he and Christine and this came across during
the performance.
Sorry.....we just didn't feel this was worth the money.

PLEASE KEEP "THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA" ON BROADWAY FOREVER.
We went to see "The Phantom of the Opera" on
Monday as an early Birthday Present for me. It was
awesome. Keep up the good work. It was so cool
when the Chandelier crashed. Please be careful
during the stunts. If things don't work out for
Sierra Boggess in "Prince of Broadway" please give
her a permanent contract in "The Phantom of the
Opera" so that she can continue to play Christine.
We'll be back soon, but we don't know when. Happy
Birthday Phantom. May the music of the night go on
forever. Please keep "Phantom" on Broadway
forever.

MUST SEE
Attended a matinee of the performance to a nearly sold out crowd. It was wonderful. The singing, cast, props, orchestra, and scenery was excellent. There was even a bit of comedy thrown in. The only faults were: I believe one of the cast missed a note and there was a slight prop problem where the mist didn't cover the back of the boat revealing the wheels and woodwork.
But everything else was wonderful. Would have bought a ticket to the evening performance if I had the money.
If you haven't seen phantom of the opera or are a fan of it and want to see it again, I would highly recommend this production.
