I have seen the Phantom of the Opera twice before at our beautiful Fox Theater.
Both times were superb. But, last night's performance (advertised as bigger and
better) blew me away! The voices were phenomenal! Every single character had
exceptional voices! The scenery and costumes were breathtaking! And the
orchestra and organist hit every note perfectly! I was so moved when I left that I
couldn't even talk. Even today the gorgeous songs keep going through my head.
This performance raised the bar extremely high. Bravo to the entire ensemble!

PHENOMENAL PHANTOM!
We saw Phantom Of The Opera at The (Fabulous) Fox Theater on May 9, 2018. I am
sure everyone knows the story, so I won't waste time. But, I can tell you that this
cast is electric, the scenery more than appropriate and the singing was nothing
shout of outstanding! I was surprised that the place was filled close to capacity for a
Wednesday evening, but everyone (as far as I could tell) had a great time. I
encourage any of my fellow Saint Louis neighbors to go visit The Fox and get a peek
at a real classic. You will not be sorry, that I can guarantee.

MISSING NEARLY ALL EMOTION OF THE ORIGINAL
While the show was enjoyable as I have seen it many time, the performances from nearly the
entire cast was average at best. Orchestra was phenomenal it drowned out all vocals and the
high powered songs that should have large loud vocal crescendos was just not there. The
phantom was not convincing as a dark soul and seemed more like a high schoolers rendition of
the part. Boat scene and masquerade scene were very disappointing in their new versions - gone
is the shear awe one has seeing this show - first timers likely to enjoy but are certainly missing
out on tons of more raw emotion and one hundred times better singing from other
performances - if you have seen the show you should pass

BRAVO!
It was the most exciting and moving play I've ever seen.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA MARCH 25,2018
The Phantom of the opera was amazing and
wonderful as always, especially in the Beautiful,
historic Saenger Theatre. I have seen it now 7 Or 8
times, my all time favorite now my children’s favorite
too-(age 23 and 13). Quentin Oliver Lee was Awesome
as The Phantom, great performance by entire cast.

BREATHTAKING
Okay so it was AMAZING, the only problem I had with it was they got rid of the staircase
scene, and Raoul never dove into the water. I've seen it 3 times and it really upset me the
last time, but other than that IT IS SO GOOD

IT WAS BETTER IN TORONTO
Sloppy performance on St. Patrick's Day in NYC - technical problems with some mics,
stage hands visible at times, and a Phantom who was not at the top of his game...what
we saw recently in Toronto was head and shoulders above this. Still, its a show worth
seeing just for the spectacle of it all.
