IMPRESSED BUT FROZEN

The show was fantastic! The long run has in no way dulled the intensity of the performance. McGillin is probably the finest voice I have ever heard. The only complaint was that I froze throughout the entire performance. If you are seated in row R of the orchestra section, dress for a winter sleighride and you will thoroughly enjoy the performance.

ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON BROADWAY!

Hello. My name is Miranda And if there's one thing I have to say about this show... it's incredable!!!! From the way the sage is lit, to the props used, to the songs and danceing... It was so worth the $700 my family and I spent to see it last Christmas. If your looking for a good show, this is the first to stop and see. I hope to be up there soon to star in one =)

WONDERFUL FIRST MUSICAL!

This was my first time seeing a broadway musical and my parents took me to see Phantom of the Opera at the Majestic Theater. It was such a breathtaking experience! The singers were excellent and operatic. You couldn't ask for better melodies, because the music is haunting and beautiful. I still have many of the songs stuck in my head from seeing the musical. I saw this on a friday night at 8pm and Paul A. Schaeffer played the phantom, not John Cudia. Nonetheless, he did a fabulous job and I was thoroughly impressed with the entire musical. You will not regret seeing this show!

FANTASTIC!!

"The Phantom of the Opera" was the very first play I had ever seen,(I'm only 14, and it was for a school trip to NYC) but wow I was truely AMAZED! John and Jennifer's voices' were beautiful and blended together so perfectly!I went home and watched the movie, and couldn't help but wish it was them instead! I believe that the play was better than the movie..I am still blown away at the performance! Now I wish I could go and see 'Love Never Dies', and thanks to John and Jennifer's performance, I am now a 'Phantom' fan!

SIMPLY HAUNTING

My daughter and I celebrated her 13th birthday by seeing Phantom at the Majestic as her first Broadway show. No strangers to the stage, she has already performed in 10 musicals, and taken dance for 5 years, while I performed throughout my teen years. I have seen Phantom performed in Toronto previously, which I now know does not hold a candle to the NYC production. The Majestic is a perfect venue, while the set, costumes, and special effects were stunning. The talent of the cast, particularly Hugh Panero, whose performance I daresay rivaled Michael Crawford's was amazing. The power and control of his voice, and his pure tone was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. Sara Jean Ford interpreted the role of Christine beautifully. We left the theatre in awe, and 2 weeks later are still reeling from the performance. Thanks to the cast and crew for a fantastic show and unforgettable experience. But then, how can you go wrong with an Andrew Lloyd Webber show?! A must see!

MUST SEE

Attended a matinee of the performance to a nearly sold out crowd. It was wonderful. The singing, cast, props, orchestra, and scenery was excellent. There was even a bit of comedy thrown in. The only faults were: I believe one of the cast missed a note and there was a slight prop problem where the mist didn't cover the back of the boat revealing the wheels and woodwork. But everything else was wonderful. Would have bought a ticket to the evening performance if I had the money. If you haven't seen phantom of the opera or are a fan of it and want to see it again, I would highly recommend this production.

PHANTOM THEATER EXPERIENCE

My wife and I had the pleasure of seeing and experiencing Phantom at the Majestic on Broadway on March 30th. The show was truly unforgettable and most rewarding. Unfortunately, the sales pitch, and advertisement that followed the standing ovation asking for donations supporting AIDS research with tempting posters, pins, and matching carry bags literally robbed us of the pleasure of leaving the theatre with the theatre experience of the production. I am truly saddened that the commercialism for causes has invaded Broadway in such a manner. My wife and I are supporters for many causes and appreciate the need for donations, but there must be a better way to get the money from viewers. We experienced the same "cause" when we saw Porgie and Bess, but the request for donations seemed to be less invasive. I will give donations to many causes, but on that day, we did not participate--I felt used and cheated, and disappointed.
