DISAPPOINTED
Good story line but weak vocals except for the character Josephine. The ending was weak, was waiting for a crescendo when the audience was in the moment waiting for more, sadly that didn’t happen. Need to sharpen up before broadway.

GREAT TALENT, POORLY WRITTEN.
This is a jukebox show - you'll know all the songs and likely have a great time if you go in with that in mind. Otherwise, it's a poor excuse for a biopic. Story is stilted and not really tied together. I'd expect a re-write or two ahead of Broadway. If you have this as part of your subscription, it's an entertaining show. Otherwise, I'd skip it.

AIN'T TOO GREAT
We were underwhelmed. The stars were often oversinging to the point of shouting, the book was erratic - sometimes trite. The alignment of songs with the plot was sometimes odd, especially with the Stevie Wonder song in the second act. The band was tight and the songs are obviously great, but the show packaging them is still pretty rough.
