The cast was amazing! The children
were so professional and impressive.
The story is different than the original
so that threw me off a bit but overall
it was amazing. Poor pup seemed
terrified on stage.

GREAT SHOW AND CAST WAS WONDERFUL!
The cast was fantastic. The kids are just amazing. Wonderful show for all ages.
Great production! Highly recommend.
i agree with the other reviewer. The dog did seem stressed and wanted to leave the
stage, That's a shame.
Other than that - it was great and the venue is incredible. Fun night out with the girls!

WONDERFUL PRODUCTION EXCEPT...
The Toronto via London production of Annie boasted creative set design and lighting,
beautiful music/orchestration, superb choreography, and a very talented ensemble
cast. The stand-out performances came from Alex Bourne as Daddy Warbucks,
Matthew Hawksey as Rooster, Bobby Delaney as Burt Healy, Nic Gibley as Drake, and
Carolyn Maitand as Grace Farrell. The orphans were truly wonderful performers and
brought great energy and humour to the show. The huge disappointment was the
vocal performance of the star of the show. Annie should be an exceptional singer
and this performance was actually unpleasant to listen to, however, the acting was
pretty good. The overall charm and breathtaking choreography with such numbers
as Hooverville, N.Y.C., You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile, and A New Deal
For Christmas absolutely satisfied this die hard fan of Annie. Despite the star falling
short of vocal quality needed for this production, I encourage fans to catch this
enjoyable production.

REALLY GOOD
I really enjoyed the show but as said by previous reviewers the actress who played Annie
had an irritating voice. She was great in other ways but when she sang the famous "the
sun will come out tomorrow" she fell very very flat. Also the actress playing Miss
Hannigan was a bit unsuited for the role and not what the original character embodied.
Other than that it was very well done. Grace was amazing, Rooster, Lily etc.

CHILDREN PERFORMERS WERE GREAT! ADULT PERFORMERS WERE OK.
My 6-year old daughter LOVED it. The little actress who played Annie was great. Lovely
voice. Sadly, Miss Hannigan wasn't good at all. She was desperately trying to hide the
British Accent, and somehow the actress and character never connected. Overall we
enjoyed it, though!

A VERY BRITISH PRODUCTION
Sometimes the west end can outdo Broadway
even when the production is very American.
With this version of Annie, the actors are
clearly having trouble shedding their British
accents, especially when singing the very New
York style songs. Still, they poured their hearts
out. The biggest and only disappointment is
Lesley Nicol of adownton Abbey fame who
can’t quite master the wonder villainy of her
role as Miss Hannigan. The actor playing FDR
was quite flat. Other than that, it was a lot of
fun. The kids were amazing. The girl playing
Annie had a lot of verve even if she couldn't
shed her London accent while belting out her
numbers. I’d recommend it.

PRETTY GOOD SHOW
After reading the others reviews, there's a few points I do agree with them on, the
poor dog did seem afraid, there's no doubt about it. The sets were also ugly to look
at and poor. Giant puzzle pieces? Really? I loved the movie when i was a little girl and
even had the soundtrack to it on cassette tape, so knew the songs well. The man
that played Daddy Warbucks stood out, as did the actor playing Rooster. It was an
enjoyable show, i think children would not notice the things many of the reviewers
are mentioning. Was it in the caliber of Phantom? No, but one wouldn't expect it to
be. I had an excellent seat, middle of the fourth row, so I could see everything very
well. It was certainly a departure from the Downton Abby role of the cook for the
actress that played Miss Hannigan. I thought she was fine, it was a campy
performance, like Carol Burnett's was in the film.I still liked it better than "The King
and I" though!
