Now in its fourth year, Dream Serenade celebrates the tireless careworkers who provide support for special-needs children
Established in 2014, Dream Serenade is an annual concert with charity at its heart, bringing the community together and raising funds and support for children with developmental disabilities and their caregivers. With sets from Toronto's own Broken Social Scene, Amy Millan, Barenaked Ladies, Dan Mangan, Hayden, Lou Canon and legendary a capella group The Persuasions, this special evening has raised over $125 000 in just a few short years.
Husband and wife team Hayden Desser and Christie Greyerbiehl, the dynamic duo behind the charity, were inspired by the tireless work of special-needs teachers and support workers. They have choses Toronto's Beverley Junior Public School, as well as the Family Relief Fund as primary beneficiary of the concert's earnings.
