One night only!
Two fantastically unique soul voices are united in this one off collaboration at Roy Thompson Hall this fall. Charles Bradley and Joss Stone have long been at the forefront of modern soul, each creating a sound that revives that of the greats, but keeping it innovative by adding new layers and styles to the mix!
After seeing James Brown in concert as a kid, Charles Bradley knew that was what he wanted to do, and even spend a great deal of time as a tribute act to the Godfather of Soul. Finally his own honeyed, Otis Redding inspired voice was noticed by a record company and thrilled the nation with his debut album No Time For Dreaming 2011, followed by Victim of Love in 2013. His journey was recorded in the acclaimed documentary Soul of America.
Joss Stone was discovered at the age of 15. A young girl from rural England, her pipes shocked the world, as the sound and the power of Dusty, Aretha issued forth. Since then she has become an ambassador of soul, releasing six albums and selling over 14 million world wide!
