Susie Burpee
Susie Burpee creates "fully human characters, struggling for connection" (Toronto Star). Her work received Dora Mavor Moore Awards for Outstanding Choreography and Performance, and she is a recipient of the K.M. Hunter Artist Award for Dance. Burpee's works are noted for their skillful use of contemporary movement to transform individuals on stage and showcase human complexity.
Linnea Swan
Linnea Swan has worked with many of Canada's esteemed dance and theatre companies and the interdisciplinary Exchange Rate Collective, whose creation, Appetite, received two Dora Mavor Moore Awards. As a filmmaker, Swan works alongside choreographers and musicians to create music and promotional videos, and films for live performance.
DanceWorks is one of Canada's leading presenters of independent contemporary dance, which supports the creation, production and dissemination of groundbreaking choreography by professional dance artists. DanceWorks presents inspired work by gifted creators drawing from a belief in the power of dance to illuminate, engage and transform all that participate.
